This timber is durable and it doesn’t shrink, swell or warp excessively. If you wish to keep the warm golden honey colour, Alton recommend you treat your greenhouse annually, otherwise the cedar will fade to its attractive, natural finish.The Alton Evolution has many practical features that will expand the life of your greenhouse for example: The metal base keeps the timber off the damp ground and all the glass panes in the window overlap the timber slightly. This prevents wood rot in two problem areas.Automatic roof vents are included as standard, as are louver side vents.This greenhouse comes with Cedar bar cover capping as Standard. Aluminium cover capping in the moss colour is an optional upgrade. Gutters, base, and other aluminium components come in moss powder coated aluminium as standard.An optional upgrade is aluminium bar capping in moss finish. This would replace the standard cedar capping and clamps the glass into the framework tightly. This means very little timber is exposed to the elements and the powder coated moss finish blend in perfectly.
