This is a next-generation structural adhesive that offers enhanced performance within 3M’s line of highly versatile, low-odour acrylic adhesives. Designed for demanding applications, this two-part adhesive provides the speed and convenience of traditional acrylic systems while delivering improved impact strength, flexibility, and cold-temperature resistance. It also features a significantly reduced toxicological hazard profile, making it a safer choice for workplace environments. Unlike some adhesives that may corrode metals, this formulation is non-corrosive to steel and other active metal substrates.DP8810NS is ideal for bonding a wide range of materials with minimal surface preparation, even on slightly oily surfaces. It adheres reliably to metals, painted surfaces, plastics, and composites, making it a versatile solution for both industrial and commercial use. It delivers structural performance even in temperatures as low as -40˚C, offering excellent strength and durability under harsh conditions.The adhesive has a work life of approximately 23 minutes and reaches structural strength in around 55 minutes. For quality and consistency in bonding, it includes 250-micron (0.010 inch) spacer beads to help control bond line thickness. Additionally, its low odour and non-flammable formulation contribute to a safer, more pleasant working environment.
